Playstation All Stars: New Characters and Stages Leaked?

New characters! New Stages! New Stuff!
Itching to know what’s yet to be revealed about Playstation All Stars? Thanks to a user over at Reddit – and the NeoGAF forums, we now seemingly have a load more details about exactly what we’ll be seeing in the Playstation’s upcoming brawler.

The leak, coming courtesy of a Reddit user known as 696LY, posts a number of new screenshots presumably from Playstation All Stars. Like all rumours, take these with a grain of salt, but there’s some stuff in here that seems extremely likely. First of all, there’s this portrait that shows a whole load of previously unannounced characters. Apologies for the ‘LEAK, LEAK, LEAK’.

If you look closely at the apparently Playstation All Stars cast and squint past all the leaks, you can clearly make out a number of famous faces. From top left to bottom, it appears that there is:

  • Raiden (Metal Gear Solid series and star of Metal Gear Rising Revengeance
  • Dante (DMC)
  • Heihachi Mishima (previously announced, from Tekken)
  • Ratchet (from Ratchet and Clank)
  • Sackboy (Little Big Planet)
  • Spike (Ape Escape)
  • Toro (previously announced)
  • Sir Daniel Fortesque (MediEvil)
  • Jak (Jak and Daxter)
  • Nariko (Heavenly Sword)
  • Cole (Infamous)
  • Either Evil Cole, or Nathan Hale (Resistance)

It’s hard to make out exactly who the final character might be thanks to the annoying ‘leak’ pasted all over the image, but it seems likely that either Nathan Hale or Evil Cole could be characters in the game. The Evil version of InFamous’ Cole has drastically different powers to his good counterpart, after all!

In addition to the leaked Playstation All Stars character roster image, the same Reddit post also posts a number of images that show various stages from the game. Thankfully someone over at NeoGAF has managed to remove all the obscuring leak imagery.

Playstation All Stars Stages

Playstation All Stars Alden Tower

This first image appears to show Alden’s Tower, which you may recognise from the first InFamous title. In the original game, it’s an area that has great impact upon the story.

Playstation All Stars Sly Cooper

This stage doesn’t currently have a name, but what we do know is that it shows the rooftops of somewhere from inside the Sly Cooper series.  Sly Cooper has already been confirmed as a character.

Playstation All Stars Ape Escape

This next stage, the Timestation, adds fuel to the rumours of an included Ape Escape character.

PS All Stars Bioshock

Recognise this place? It’s none other than Columbia, the setting of upcoming Bioshock Infinite. Interesting that they didn’t go for Rapture and opted for the new stage instead. The Big Daddy from Bioshock is already a confirmed character.

The very first place we ever met Jak and Daxter. The glowing gold portal on the left of the screen is the Precursor gateway found at the conclusion of the first game, an object that would propel Jak and Daxter forward through time.

This level is apparently from Killzone, and is entitled ‘Invasion’. Colonel Radec from Killzone is already a confirmed character.

The Dreamscape, from Little Big Planet. Note the inclusion of series staples including the ‘Popit’ menu, clouds hung on strings, interactive sticker points and more!

Playstation All Stars Loco Roco

Another colourful stage, this time taken straight from cult hit Loco Roco.

Playstation All Stars Resistance

Ah, isn’t San Francisco beautiful? This image is taken straight from Resistance, adding fuel to the fire that the character above is in fact Nathan Hale, not Evil Cole.

Playstation All Stars Twisted Metal

This place is Black Rock Stadium, and is based from the Twisted Metal series. Series crazy clown Sweet Tooth is already a confirmed character.

Playstation All Stars Uncharted

Nathan Drake’s stage, Stowaway, pays homage to one of the more memorable scenes from last year’s Uncharted 3.

Playstation All Stars Random

Finally we have the ‘Random’ image, which indicates that all of these images are apparently pulled straight from the game’s stage selection screen.
