Wii U Launch Titles Revealed?

Wii U Launch Titles Revealed?

Blunders by retailers are always good for juicy info!

If a recent leak is to be believed, an entire list of 25 different games that are destined to be released upon the launch of the Wii U have been listed.

Most of the information about Nintendo’s new console remains very secretive indeed, with the big N preparing their all-out reveal at this year’s E3. In the meantime all we can do is speculate about the console, the titles it’ll have and what it’ll actually play like.

Judging by the line-up of leaked titles, which allegedly has been listed by Blockbuster in the UK, it looks like Nintendo is keeping good on its promise of publishing more third-party games, as titles such as Batman: Arkham City and Metro: Last Light are on the list. There’s also a few intriguing Nintendo titles including Super Mario Bros. Mii and  a new Pikmin.

The full list of titles is as follows:

• Just Dance 4
• Killer Freaks From Outer Space
• Marvel Super Heroes
• Metro Last Light
• Monsters Party
• New Super Mario Brothers Mii
• Ninja Gaiden 3
• Pikmin
• Rabbids Party Land
• Raving Rabbids
• Rayman Legends
• Shield Pose
• Splinter Cell 6
• Sports Connection
• Tekken
• Your Shape 2013
• Zombie
• Aliens: Colonial Marines
• Assassin’s Creed
• Batman Arkham City
• Darksiders II
• Dirt 3
• Formula 1 All Stars
• Game Party
• Ghost Recon Online

Of course all of this is mere speculation, but the information apparently comes straight from Blockbuster’s internal sales system, and those pesky retailers get to know about new stuff a lot earlier than the rest of us!

Honestly though, if it is real, I have to say it’s a pretty decent launch line-up. I find it quite astonishing to see a severe lack of Nintendo titles actually on the list and much more third-party games, but it seems as if this is a deliberate ploy by Nintendo to show us that they’re publishing more third-party titles in the hope of bringing back gamers who eventually became soured on the Wii.
