Sneaky Game Developers Hide Possible Battlefront Sequel

Hidden among the information on Operation Raccoon City disks, a sleeping giant awaited discovery.

One of my fondest childhood memories stems from playing the Star Wars: Battlefront series.  I loved those things and quite frankly, I don’t know anyone that didn’t.  I even preordered the Star Wars Episode III DVD so I could get the demo of Battlefront 2, and it was glorious.  Now, the boys at BetaGames have found a secret hidden in the depths of an Operation Raccoon City disk; a folder marked “Luke” containing photos and filler screens for a game that up until now has been nothing more than a pipe dream: Battlefront 3.  At a time in gaming when developers are being criticized for the cost of DLC and the content being cut from games to make up said DLC, it is a nice surprise to see a company going to such lengths to appease their fans.

If the filler photos are anything to judge by, the long-awaited continuation of the Star Wars: Battlefront series is sure to impress.  Although no official word has been given on the game, I personally plan to follow any developments that come around with much scrutiny.  Stay tuned and I’ll keep you up to date with any information that surfaces regarding publishers, rumors, and any other Battlefront related news.
