Diablo 3 Goes Free This Weekend

Diablo 3 Goes Free This Weekend

Start those wrist calisthenics and strengthen that clicking finger. You’re about to get carpal tunnel syndrome this weekend.

I guess we can’t refute this game’s existence any longer because from noon on Friday, April 20 (Pacific) until 10am (Pacific) on Monday, April 23, Diablo 3 will be available for the whole world to enjoy… for free. Blizzard has pushed the game into open beta and anyone with a valid Battle.net account can finally satiate their decade old hunger for more Diablo. If you don’t have a Battle.net account, you can get one here.

If you, like most people, maintain a regular day job and don’t want to have to deal with that whole ‘downloading’ malarkey when you get home and waste precious clicking time, you can download the client ahead of time and dive in as soon as you get home.

For those of you who feel like carving out the entire weekend and dedicating your existence to Diablo 3, you can play each of the five classes up to level 13.

Remember, these times are relative! So, if you happen to live anywhere other than directly in the middle of the Pacific time zone and don’t want to miss a single second of Diablo 3 but failed time zone conversion class, here’s a time zone converter to help you out.

Barring any last minute delays, Diablo 3 is scheduled to release on May 15, 2012.
