Bioware Announces Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut

And it’s FreeLC!

In an effort to appease the vast unwashed hordes who spouted venom at Mass Effect 3’s ending with reckless, endless and ludicrous abandon, Bioware today announced that this summer Mass Effect fans will get the closure they’re looking for in a free downloadable DLC pack entitled Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut.

“Since launch, we have had time to listen to the feedback from our most passionate fans and we are responding,” says Dr Ray Muzyka, Bioware head honcho.

“With the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut we think we have struck a good balance in delivering the answers players are looking for while maintaining the team’s artistic vision for the end of this story arc in the Mass Effect universe.”

The DLC pack will contain a number of epilogues and cinematic scenes that expand upon what happened to Mass Effect 3’s characters after the ending, hopefully calming down the tide of hate that has washed over Bioware since everybody saw the ending.

No word on an official release date as of yet but the DLC will be released for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
