The Fable Ends For Molyneux

The Fable Ends For Molyneux

The Fable developer tips his hat to Lionhead and sets out on a new adventure.

Peter Molyneux today Tweeted out that he’s to leave Lionhead studios (and Microsoft) in favour of a new company called 22 Cans.

“I have left the lovely amazing Microsoft and lionhead,” says the tweet. “Now for something really amazing, scary, and brave: a new company called 22 Cans.”

If you don’t know him, Peter Molyneux is the man behind the Fable franchise, widely known for his extravagant claims about the games he’s making and them never really coming to fruition. We’re still waiting on that acorn that grows into a tree, Peter.

No word on whether the Fable franchise will be taking a new direction with someone else at the helm as of yet, but Fable Heroes was announced recently for the XBLA  and we already know about Fable: The Journey, which is coming out for Kinect.

Best of luck to Pete on his new adventure, and we hope he delivers more on his promises with 22 Cans. The most important question regarding this new company is of course, why 22 cans? Why not six? Or twelve million, six hundred and eighty thousand, three hundred and twelve? Tis a mystery I tell you.
