Alan Wake Developers Hiring For Next-Gen Project

Remedy Entertainment are looking for “world class talent” for an unnamed project.

You remember Alan Wake, right? The 2010 survival horror game that recently got some spin off DLC in the form of Alan Wake’s American Nightmare? Well its creators, Remedy Entertainment, have revealed on a post on their official website that they are looking to hire new talent to work on an “unannounced project” for the next generation of consoles.

“Remedy Entertainment is looking for world-class talent to work on an unannounced project targeted at future generation consoles”, the post reads. “More than 20 new positions will become available within the next few months. The first batch of positions will go live as soon as Friday 30th of March. Interested in being part of a team on the very brink of creating the games of the future?”

The Finnish developers also worked on neo-noir shooter Max Payne and its sequel, but not on Max Payne 3, which is currently in the hands of Rockstar Games and is set to be released on May 15th.

It’s an interesting titbit of information to hear after Microsoft made it clear that there would be no announcement of a new Xbox at this year’s E3, and with the Playstation 4 still amounting to nothing more than rumor and speculation. Alan Wake took over 5 years to develop, though, so this is no guarantee that the next generation of consoles is just around the corner.

I have my fingers crossed that Remedy Entertainment’s new project, whether it’s Alan Wake 2 or a new game altogether, will be a good one.
