Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Being Made by Activision, Not Rocksteady

Well it seems that a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game may actually be in development, but rumours of Rocksteady making it are false. Turns out it’s seemingly Activision at the helm instead.

About a month ago we initially reported on rumours that a game by Batman developers Rocksteady was in development involving the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but this may have been proven as false.

An image taken at Toy Fair by a website known as ToyArk.com showcases a sign that clearly states that Activision is working closely with a new series of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, labelled as a key partner.

It isn’t a concrete confirmation of the title, but it seems as if it’s more than likely that the game will be under development to coincide with the new series.  For what it’s worth, Activision has worked with Nickolodeon (who run TMNT) on many games before, lending fuel to the fire.

Personally I’m a bit disappointed. Rocksteady making TMNT may have been absolutely awesome and dripping with coolness, but an Activision, cartoon-inspired TMNT just doesn’t appeal to me as much.

It’s probably really Call of Duty: Heroes In a Half Shell edition.

What do you think though? Disappointed? Let us know.
