Modern Warfare 3 Content Drops Inbound

Modern Warfare 3 Content Drops Inbound

What’s that obsessive Call of Duty fan? You want new maps? You want new maps, really soon? Well, you’re in luck (as long as you’re an Elite member, that is).

Activision today announced that their proposed DLC plan for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will kick off in just two weeks for subscribers to the Call of Duty Elite premium service, allowing users who’ve already paid their subscription fee to get two brand new maps before anyone else.

The two maps, officially entitled Liberation and Piazza, will drop on January 24th and are being wittily dubbed as ‘Content drops’ courtesy of Activision.  “Liberation is a vast, militarized landscape, ripe for long-range sniper and LMG fire, with mounted turrets on either end that lend power to anyone brave enough to expose themselves in exchange for deadly firepower.” says Activision to IGN. “Piazza is the idyllic Italian getaway that is anything but, where tight corners and branching pathways pose great risk at every turn.”

Activision is also promising that it isn’t too late to sign up for Elite, which you really should be doing as you get over 20 DLC packs that are to be released over the next year for nothing and before everyone else, while others will have to pay full whack for the DLC.

If you aren’t an Elite subscriber, the maps will become available at some point in the middle of March.
