Minecraft Passes LEGO CUUSOO Review

Minecraft Passes LEGO CUUSOO Review

Minecraft may be foregoing its virtual blocks for a more real-world set as LEGO has finally announced they are working with Mojang to make this happen.

No other game out there seems to be more suited for a LEGO adaptation than the adult building block playground that is Minecraft. A place where the only limitations are your imagination and available time, Minecraft is about to branch into the real world.

Mojang, the company behind Minecraft, planted a seed on LEGO CUUSOO back in December in an attempt to bring the series into the LEGO world. This ended up in a petition that ultimately garnered a staggering 10,000 supporters. A couple of diehard LEGO, and presumably Minecraft, fans (suparMacho and koalaexpert) were invited to partake in crafting some of the set pieces that were to be used in the proposal. However, other users are encouraged to join the effort by creating and submiting their own LEGO Minecraft pieces.

After much deliberation, a jury of LEGO professionals considered “the idea’s feasibility as a product” and ultimately decided it makes sense.

“We’re happy to announce that the Minecraft project on LEGO CUUSOO has passed the LEGO review and we are now developing a concept that celebrates the best aspects of building with the LEGO system and in Minecraft. We can’t wait to show it to you—but it isn’t ready just yet. These things take time, so we appreciate your patience. More details are to come.”

No word on what we can expect to see or when we can expect to see it, but take solace in knowing that it will eventually happen and it will more than likely be pretty awesome.
