Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath Done and Dusted For Release

After having my heart utterly shattered last April when Stranger’s Wrath missed its tentative release date I all but gave up hope on ever seeing it. But those months of anguish have not been in vain as a firm PSN release has finally been set.

Just Add Water has taken this hidden Xbox gem under its wing and slapped a shiny new coat of paint all over it, but it has taken much longer than previously anticipated. Originally slated for release last April, the game was delayed. Many assumed it was due to the crash of the PSN, but then service was restored and Oddworld was nowhere to be seen.

Just Add Water CEO Stewart Gilray revealed via the Official PlayStation Blog yesterday that the wait is finally over. The game was delayed due to the fact that development really didn’t start until April, so the past 8 months have been spent tirelessly upgrading away.

Thankfully the wait ends this month.

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is “DONE AND DUSTED for release” worldwide on December 27th, 2011. The game will be available on the PSN for the paltry sum of $14.99.

Just Add Water had originally planned to release the title with PlayStation Move support as well as full on stereoscopic 3D integration, but due to time limitations, those have been delayed. Both be released as an upgrade at a later date alongside a few extra unmentioned features.
