‘XBOX! Read My Lips!’

‘XBOX! Read My Lips!’

Kinect 2.0 falls squarely into the rumour mill and sets up camp today, as some sources are claiming that the next iteration of Microsoft’s motion device will be able to read your lips and read your emotions. Eerie.

Eurogamer is the one adding fire to the rumours, as they are claiming that a ‘development source’ has told them that the Kinect update will be able to not only read your lips, but also be able to tell what direction you’re facing and also detect emotions in your voice. No word is yet available on whether it will be able to accurately read your best moron face and berate you, or whether it will be able to detect your annoyed shouting when it doesn’t work correctly. Let’s hope though!

In addition, there’s also rumours churning about the next Xbox coming as early as next year and that it will feature integrated Kinect as standard, paving the way for the next generation of motion controlled technology. Alternatively Microsoft could be planning new iterations of Xbox 360 bundles that come with Kinect, which we’ll have to wait and see about as Microsoft has stated that they don’t comment on rumours and speculations. The teasers.
