Calm Your RAGE PC Problems

With multiple conflicting problems for the PC version, Bethesda has made their latest game live up to its name and given RAGE to a lot of unhappy PC owners. Never fear though, there are some solutions to the problems.

Bethesda’s working hard to make the game better for everyone, but the fact remains that a lot of people aren’t happy buying a game, popping it in their disk tray and then finding that it doesn’t work whatsoever or has a wide variety of issues that have nothing to do with your computer.  There have been multiple issues reported raging from screen tearing to the game not working at all and, thankfully, there’s now a few solutions offered up by Bethesda.

Those using AMD can now download the ‘RAGE Performance Driver‘. This promises:

  • Significant performance gains for single GPU configurations
  • Compatible with AMD Radeonâ„¢ HD 6000, AMD Radeon HD 5000 and AMD Radeon HD 4000 series of graphics products
  • Includes the latest OpenGL driver component for Rage performance optimizations

NVIDIA users should update to the current beta driver.

For other issues including screen tearing, visit Bethesda’s official forums where there are a number of solutions posted that should help you out.

Bethesda is also promising an update that allows easier configuration changes, which they promise more info on ‘shortly’. In the meantime I hope that if you’re having problems with RAGE on your PC that these little changes may ease your growing RAGE slightly and maybe allow you to play the game at last.
