Zone of the Enders and Metal Gear HD Headed to Vita

It truly is the year of the remake. Everything that was once considered great and good is now being revived and given new life with HD graphics. We’ve known Metal Gear Solid is getting the HD treatment for the consoles, but one such title that people have been begging for for years is finally making a comeback: Zone of the Enders.

MGS HD was announced for the PS3 and Xbox 360 earlier this year, but it has been confirmed at a recent Sony Press Conference that the bundle (minus the upgraded version of Peace Walker) will also drop on the Vita at some point in 2012.

If mechanized space walking and complicated Mars colonization politics are more your speed then you may want to check out the incredible Zone of the Enders series headed to the system. This cult classic didn’t receive as much attention as it should have been when it first released and fans have been begging for a remake for years. Well, fans are finally going to be getting that remake with the ZOE bundle set to include both 1 & 2. This bundle so far has only been confirmed for release on the Vita at some point next year.

Sony certainly seems to be taking steps to oust Nintendo as the handheld champion of the world. Fortunately, it doesn’t seem like it will be that hard, especially with the controversy swirling around the 3DS at the moment.
