It Only Changes Its Slogan. Sony Opts For ‘Long Live Play’

Sony’s infamous ‘It Only Does Everything’ slogan for the PS3, which has been the butt of numerous jokes over the years, is being put to rest in favor of a new, more concise slogan.

Sony is adopting ‘Long Live Play’ as the new slogan for the PS3. The new campaign is “designed to celebrate gamers from all walks of life and recognize you for making us who we are today.”

The new commercial inagurating the slogan features none other than official Sony funnyman Kevin Butler doing what he does best.

The slogan is a bit catchy, but I personally prefer the old days of ‘Live in Your World, Play in Ours.’ So what do you think? Did Sony do a good job coming up with a slogan that is all encompassing, yet subtle enough to stave off any potential future jokes about online failure or firmware issues? Or perhaps you preferred the short lived days of on Marcus and his PSP ‘Step Your Game Up,’ but hopefully not.
