Fighter X Shooter Tournament Hitting Chicago

We’ve all seen the Major League Gaming tournaments on TV and thought, “Hey, I could do that!” Well now you can. Focus Fire and Gaming Generations are giving you the chance to put your money where your mouth is this Labor Day with the upcoming Fighters X Shooters tournament.

Focus-Fire, one of the major sponsors of EVO 2011 in Las Vegas, is teaming up with Keits and heading to Chicago to give gamers a chance to try their hand at a variety of competitive games across multiple genres. That’s right, no longer are gaming tournaments relegated to a single style of game. Focus-Fire is out to set a new standard by hosting professional-grade tournaments featuring games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops, Halo Reach, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, Mortal Kombat 9, Third Strike Online, and Madden 12.

Whether you identify as a self-proclaimed pro at one or more of these games or if you fall more into the category of casual, cocky, semi-decent, occasional winner you should make your way to Chicago this Labor Day weekend and join in on the fun.

Kicking off September 2nd and running through the 4th, Fighters X Shooters is going to features tournaments in each of the above listed games, door prizes, giveaways, staff prizes, and a whole menagerie of raffles.

Now if that isn’t reason enough to book a ticket to Chicago, Mana Tank is going to be there covering the tournament. Our very own resident media guru, Gassy Mexican is going to be there in the flesh, mingling with gamers, dropping some witty comments, and more than likely joining in on the fun. So round up your friends, form a team, and sign up before the end of the month and show the world how good you are at video games.
