Metal Gear Solid 4 Getting Shiny Trophies
If you needed another reason to pick up and play Metal Gear Solid 4 either for fear of cramp sitting watching too many cutscenes or avoiding it because of lack of trophy support, Hideo Kojima has got a treat for you.
Metal Gear Solid 4′s creator has confirmed in an interview with Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu that the game will officially be getting a new trophy patch this August, coming bundled together with a new budget version of Metal Gear Solid 4.
It’s also been confirmed that those who already own the game will get access to the patch free of charge, allowing you to reboot the game and start earning some trophies for your efforts.
Metal Gear Solid 4 came out before Sony’s trophy system was so widely used, so this inclusion is certainly a welcome one that will make playing MGS4 all that much sweeter.
I won’t be particularly happy unless you get a trophy for sitting through the game’s ridiculously lengthy ending cinematic though. It may be totally awesome and close many plot points, but damn those cutscenes go on forever.
I know for a fact our resident ManaTank podcast regular and resident Metal Gear Solid obsessive is now collapsed on his back in his room, dreaming of earning trophies in the only game that ever graces his Playstation 3.
Yep, he’s really that bad, and I’m sure we’ll all be joining him in hunting down Metal Gear Solid 4′s trophies come this August.
