South Park: The Stick of Truth Just Looks Awesome
One of my favourite cartoons + an RPG game equals the most epic of epic wins.
It was probably the highlight of Microsoft’s E3 conference. South Park: The Stick of Truth was showcased amidst a sea of boredom, and boy did it ramp up my interest in the conference (as I was rapidly approach the slavering, drooling imbecile stage).
As soon as it was announced I was graced with new information about the title, included some lovely new screens, pre-order bonuses and information about the Kinect version of the title.
First of all, those who pre-order the title will get access to The Good Times With Weapons Pack. This pack will contain the Bulrog Chicken Attack, Cartman’s Kick-Ass Sai and an exclusive samurai costume. You can guarantee each of the attacks will be as unique as South Park itself, bringing the show’s famous madness straight into the gaming world.
Looks like the Xbox 360 is getting the most out of the South Park experience, as THQ has also announced that those who pre-order the Xbox 360 version of this title will get access to unique content and DLC first. It also comes with a pre-order bonus, the Mysterion Superhero Pack. This includes a Mysterion costume, Mysterion Special Attack and a special weapon, the Dagger of Cthulhu.
Finally, South Park will also include Kinect commands. These will include taunts, and apparently the ability to launch attacks with your voice.
South Park: The Stick of Truth will retail on March 5th, 2013 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. For now, enjoy the official screens to go along with all the announcement goodness.
