Tomb Raider E3 2012 Crossroads Trailer

Just because the game has drifted comfortably into 2013, that doesn’t mean your excitement has to follow suit.
I’m going to refrain from saying much of anything about this game because I am so disappointed that it will not be in my system this Fall. And this trailer does nothing but rub salt deeper into that wound. Oh, and I want to go ahead and stop all the Uncharted fanboys who are no doubt going to scream “Hey! That looks just like Uncharted! LAME!” and let you in on a little secret. Tomb Raider was here first!
We’ll be meeting with Square-Enix next week during E3 to take Tomb Raider for a test drive and will let know just what we think of the dark turn the series is taking. Until then, tell us what you think of the the new Lara Croft and how you think her new adventure is going to stack up.

This new Tomb Raider looks like it has similarities to Uncharted but seems much different mainly cause how dark this new Lara is, seems refreshing from Uncharted’s happy go lucky attitude
I’m divided about this one. There’s no doubt it looks incredible, really well animated and full of grittiness, but I’m not sure if a vulnerable Lara Croft is a good Lara Croft. We’ll have to wait and see how the final build plays out, but for now I am firmly divided.
This game is gonna me made or broken by whether or not she yells “Nonononono” at any point. If so, take my money.

If I have to mutter ‘sorry’ every time I fire an arrow at an animal, I’ll give this a pass.
It’ll be cool to see sorta the genesis of the unbeatable Lara Croft. I’m with Dan on this one though, not sure how the vulnerable Lara is going to play… and a “I hate tombs” one liner in a Tomb Raider game? C’mooon.
The trailer does have a lot of similarities with the huge set pieces Uncharted has, all the way down to what the trailer consists of. Like that jumping on a broken ass piece of bridge or hanging off a cliff with just your other arm and looking down… Well, it’s an action adventure story alright.
Still, looking forward to this!
